Digital profile and NFC card overview

NFC-linked digital profiles for professional and business sharing.

ACW Card provides configurable digital profiles that may be shared through a direct web link, QR code, or appropriately programmed NFC card, depending on the supported implementation.

Profile fields, sharing methods, NFC compatibility, privacy settings, team features, physical-card options, account requirements, and availability must be confirmed before use.

The first link above leads to the external ACW Card website, a separate product resource. A link from ACW Circle does not independently verify every product, security, compatibility, pricing, delivery, or performance statement appearing on another website.

ACW Card is a digital-profile and NFC-linked business-card platform featured by ACW Circle. Current profile functions, physical-card options, NFC programming, QR sharing, team features, account requirements, pricing, delivery, support, and commercial availability must be confirmed through the applicable ACW Card channel.

What ACW Card is designed to support

ACW Card is designed to publish selected professional, business, contact, social, portfolio, and organizational information through a mobile-friendly digital profile.

ACW Card should not be represented as:

  • Government-issued identification
  • Verified legal identity
  • Employee authentication
  • Building access control
  • A payment card
  • A financial credential
  • Medical identification
  • A digital signature
  • A password replacement
  • A guarantee that profile information is accurate
  • A guarantee that the profile owner is the person presenting the card

Capability and implementation status

ACW Card separates functions that can currently be demonstrated from configuration-dependent implementation work, partial or limited functions, and roadmap areas. Each group below reflects that separation.

01

Current and demonstrable

No ACW Card application functions are independently verifiable from public ACW Circle materials at this time. Demonstrable functionality — including public digital profiles, contact information, social or website links, portfolio or media sections, direct profile URLs, QR-code sharing, profile editing, profile-image upload, contact download or vCard, and administrative profile management — must be confirmed and demonstrated through the applicable ACW Card channel before it is relied on.

02

Configuration-dependent

The following areas are scope-dependent and are confirmed per implementation:

  • NFC-card programming
  • Custom profile layout
  • Company branding
  • Team onboarding
  • Custom domains
  • Bulk profile creation
  • Administrative permissions
  • Analytics
  • Integrations
  • Physical-card production and delivery
03

Partial or limited

Any implemented function may carry known limits — for example certain media formats, browser-specific behavior, limited profile privacy controls, limited analytics, restricted team roles, geographic delivery limits, or device compatibility limits. Each limitation must be identified during implementation scoping; no partial function is represented on this page as complete or generally available.

04

Roadmap or planned areas

No documented public roadmap is published on this page. Roadmap areas, where later documented, are planned concepts only and are not described as available.

How NFC sharing works

An NFC card generally stores or references a web address that a compatible receiving device may open after the user brings the card near the device’s NFC-reading area.

Compatibility boundaries:

  • The NFC card does not normally transmit the complete profile directly.
  • The receiving device must support the relevant NFC standard.
  • NFC must be enabled or available on the receiving device.
  • Device placement and reading position vary.
  • Browser, operating-system, card, case, and security settings may affect operation.
  • Some devices may require user confirmation.
  • Some devices may not support the card.
  • Internet access may be required to open the digital profile.
  • A QR code or direct link should be available as a fallback.

This page does not state that ACW Card works with every smartphone or any modern smartphone, provides guaranteed one-tap sharing, always opens instantly, has no compatibility limitations, or requires no internet — none of those statements is made here without technical verification for the exact implementation.

QR-code and direct-link sharing

A profile may also be shared using a QR code or direct URL where those functions are implemented.

Sharing considerations:

  • Camera and browser support may vary.
  • QR codes can be copied or redistributed.
  • A public URL may be shared beyond the intended recipient.
  • Deactivating an NFC card does not automatically remove previously copied links or saved contact information.
  • QR sharing is not proof of identity.
  • Users should review the profile before publishing it.

Identity and profile-verification boundaries

A published ACW Card profile presents information supplied or approved through the applicable account and administration workflow. Displayed information must not automatically be treated as independently verified.

ACW Card must not be represented as:

  • Proof of identity
  • Proof of employment
  • Proof of professional qualification
  • Proof of licence or certification
  • Proof of company authority
  • Proof of account ownership
  • A secure authentication token
  • A replacement for official documentation

Organizations remain responsible for verifying people, roles, qualifications, contact details, and authority through appropriate channels.

Public-profile and privacy considerations

Depending on configuration, a public profile may include a name, photograph, organization, position, telephone number, email address, website, social profiles, address, portfolio, biography, documents or media, a QR code, and contact-download information. Users and organizations should publish only information intended for public access.

Privacy areas an implementation should address:

  • Field-level visibility
  • Profile activation and deactivation
  • Search-engine indexing
  • Link sharing
  • Cached copies
  • Contact downloading
  • Data correction
  • Account deletion
  • Data export
  • Retention
  • Team-member offboarding
  • Reassignment or disposal of NFC cards

Do not publish passwords, access tokens, government identifiers, payment-card information, private customer records, medical information, confidential business data, or security-sensitive locations on a public ACW Card profile.

See the ACW Circle Privacy Policy.

Profile updates and cached information

Where the NFC card or QR code points to a hosted profile URL, updates may change the information shown when that URL is next loaded.

Update limitations:

  • Browser or CDN caching may delay changes.
  • Search-engine copies may remain temporarily.
  • Previously downloaded contacts do not update automatically.
  • Screenshots and copied information cannot be recalled.
  • Third-party social and portfolio content may remain separately available.
  • Deactivation behavior depends on the implemented account and URL controls.

This page does not state that a profile can be updated once and reflect everywhere; cached, downloaded, and copied information behaves differently from the hosted profile URL.

Account and authentication security

Security depends on the deployed application, hosting, configuration, code, operational controls, and user behavior.

Each implementation should define responsibilities for:

  • Password storage
  • Token or session handling
  • Token expiry
  • Sign-out
  • Account recovery
  • Email verification
  • Administrative roles
  • Profile ownership
  • Team access
  • Rate limiting
  • Failed-login controls
  • Cross-site scripting protections
  • Cross-site request handling
  • Public and private API separation
  • Account deletion
  • Offboarding

No completely-secure, hack-proof, clone-proof, breach-proof, guaranteed-account-protection, complete-privacy, or named-standard-compliance status is claimed on this page. Any such statement requires evidence, defined scope, and current approval. Structured access and security testing of this kind is the focus of the ACW QA & Security Platform.

Lost, copied, transferred, or misused cards

Possession of an NFC card does not prove ownership of the associated profile. NFC links and QR codes may be copied, shared, photographed, or accessed by unintended people.

An implementation should define:

  • Card activation
  • Card deactivation
  • Lost-card handling
  • Card replacement
  • Profile reassignment
  • Employee offboarding
  • Link revocation
  • Suspicious-access response
  • Disposal of old cards
  • Support responsibilities

This page does not claim that an NFC card cannot be cloned or copied.

Profile images, portfolios, and uploaded content

Where uploads are supported, an implementation should address file formats, file-size limits, image processing, malware scanning, storage location and access control, public URLs, embedded photo metadata, copyright, consent, removal, retention, offensive or unlawful content, and broken third-party embeds.

No private customer assets or production-profile screenshots are published on this page. No malware-protection claim is made here; such a claim requires a verified scanning and response mechanism.

Team and organization profiles

Where implemented and confirmed, team functions may include central profile creation, approved branding, role administration, bulk onboarding, profile review, staff offboarding, card assignment, organization links, shared templates, and reporting. Each function must be verified for the specific implementation before it is relied on.

A team profile does not prove employment, authority, or professional status. Organizations remain responsible for approving profile content and removing access when relationships change.

Profile analytics and measurement

Where analytics are implemented, the events collected, page-view counting, unique-visitor limitations, bot traffic, QR or NFC attribution, cookie use, device information, retention, consent requirements, report access, exports, and any third-party analytics services must be clearly defined for the implementation.

This page does not claim that:

  • Every NFC tap is recorded
  • Every viewer is uniquely identified
  • Analytics are completely accurate
  • A profile view proves a business lead
  • ACW Card increases conversions
  • ACW Card guarantees networking results

Physical-card and environmental considerations

A reusable digital-profile card may reduce some repeat printing in certain use cases, but environmental impact depends on card materials, manufacturing, shipping, replacement, device use, hosting, and user behavior.

No zero-waste, carbon-neutral, completely eco-friendly, paper-elimination, guaranteed-environmental-savings, or sustainable-by-default claim is made on this page without appropriate evidence.

External product information

The ACW Card website, application, account portal, order process, privacy notice, terms, physical-card options, pricing, and support arrangements are separate product resources and should be reviewed directly.

A link from ACW Circle does not independently verify every feature, identity, security, compatibility, pricing, delivery, environmental, or performance statement appearing on another website.

How a scoped ACW Card implementation works

ACW Card — Frequently Asked Questions

What is ACW Card?

ACW Card is a digital-profile and NFC-linked business-card platform for sharing selected professional, business, contact, social, portfolio, and organizational information through a hosted digital profile.

Is ACW Card proof of identity?

No. ACW Card is not proof of identity, employment, qualification, or authority. Displayed information is supplied through the account workflow and must be verified through appropriate channels before it is relied on.

Does ACW Card work with every smartphone?

Compatibility depends on the receiving device, its NFC support and settings, the browser, the card, cases or covers, and connectivity. Some devices may not read the card; a QR code or direct link should be available as a fallback.

Is an application required to view a profile?

A browser-based profile may not require a dedicated app, but recipient-app and browser requirements depend on the implementation and receiving device and must be confirmed for the specific deployment.

What happens when profile details are updated?

Where the card or QR code points to a hosted URL, updates may appear the next time that URL is loaded. Cached copies, search-engine copies, and previously downloaded contact files do not update automatically.

Can an NFC or QR link be copied?

Yes. Public URLs and QR codes may be copied, photographed, redistributed, or accessed by unintended people. Deactivating a card does not remove previously copied links or saved contact information.

What information may appear on a public profile?

Depending on configuration: name, photograph, organization, position, contact details, websites, social profiles, portfolio content, and contact-download information. Only information intended for public access should be published — never passwords, government identifiers, payment details, or confidential records.

What happens when a card is lost or an employee leaves?

Deactivation, reassignment, link revocation, and offboarding procedures must be defined by the implementation. Possession of a card does not prove ownership of the profile, and copied links may persist after deactivation.

Does ACW Card guarantee security or privacy?

No. Security and privacy depend on the deployed application, hosting, configuration, operational controls, and user behavior. No completely-secure, clone-proof, or compliance status is claimed on this page.

How can an organization discuss an ACW Card implementation?

Use the ACW Circle Contact page to describe non-sensitive requirements such as users, profile fields, sharing methods, branding, card quantities, team workflows, and device environment.
